To be fair, Road Atlanta has a couple of very challenging turns to take at speed... and those turns become death traps when your tires get into the red (or even the yellow if you have been practicing those turns right on the edge of grip, offline). But yeah... for any car that has tires that actually wear out in a 20 minute race, folks need to experience it and account for it.

I highly recommend the proTyres app, as it literally has what amounts to being a "hit point bar" that shows you when your average tire grip is going to start performing at a much lower ability. CrewChief also helps as he'll tell you when your tires are starting to show their age (these audio queues happened to line up perfectly with proTyres during my race last night I was happy to hear/see).
