Total of finishing places in series.  So if you finish 1st 3rd and 7th ‘sp’ would equal 11. gl

Thanks. So having a high SP number is not that good! And I thought I was doing well. lol

I think average finishing position would be much more insightful than just adding up the positions. That number is pretty much useless...the more races you participate in, the higher the number. Not sure why it's included in the standings. I never look at it anyways.

Please clarify me if I'm wrong.
From my understanding, theoretically lower SP is better, but other stats can overcome it.
If
Driver A won 3 races at same combos, so driver A SP is 3.
Meanwhile Driver B won 1 race, the SP is 1.
So I'm guessing driver A will be higher in standings because a Wins number overcome the SP.

If what I'm saying above right then I have question.
Driver A 4th 3 times, SP 12
Driver B 4th 1 time, SP 4
Which one will be higher at standings?
It's not a quiz.

interesting paradox
i assume you make 4th place as example because its not showing on the standings column
i think 4th place column is just invisible and still can decide overall standings.
so for me driver A will be higher on standings because have more 4th place than driver B.

about lower sp is better you are right according simracingsystem answer to this post, probably SP can be matter if its on weekly race where you only can have 1 race/week.

It's the last statistic determining your championship position is all other stats are equal. Meaning same total points, same amount of wins, position 2s, 3rd, etc. So, if you've gotten smaller number that your rival, you've either raced better on average, or gotten your merits by doing less races overall. I doubt it has ever gotten to the situation that SP would have ruled the champion, but in theory it's possible.
