five minutes ago I tried to join my first race here ,F.argentina at donington....I registered in time all seemed to be ok  when the join button became available I pressed it and it gave me error "porsche 991 missing" ???? in fact to save some space I got rid of all cars and track I'm not going to drive...do I need all assetto corsa cars and track to join a single car race ?....I'm a bit confused

Just close and reopen AC or CM, it should work then

Ok i've done all ....deleted/reinstalled everything,let's try again,I registered for the next F. argentina race and wait for the server to join
