Yeah I found it eventually - was the sunrays option but all my settings were messed up (i hadnt touched them and had just done a wee warm up race before going into the main event) so who knows why all the settings decided to max up to 4k etc XD

I did manage to get back in (after posting this title to be honest but got in with like 40 secs left of qualifying so couldnt put a time down. still made it to 7th from 24th and improved my score overall so not too bad all in all lol
