FYI, deleted launcher data folder, reinstalled AC app, and restarted AC. Join button still does not work in CM. Was able to join just fine using server browser

HI guys,
Just to let you know, I have updated CM and the SRS app, deleted the launch data folder. Races are selectable in CM and cars are selectable but the join button is still not working for me.
I was able to join using the server browser.

same here I am able to register for race in both CM and AC but the join button will not work I have to search the server and join manually. I have taken all the recommended steps but still no joy.

If you don't see this on the bottom left, make sure you have the latest version of Content Manager installed. Or... just do what I've been doing for about a year now: ignore the Join button and always use the server browser. It'll let you join the server sooner anyway.

Thanks Russell, That does show at the bottom left but i literally, down loaded it 2 days ago from official CM page so how is this not the latest version. It is not the full version though would this make a difference? Just check and the version i have is not the same as you posted above it is version 0.8.2096.36316.

I have been trying for about a week... always getting checksum failed/kicked for the Skip Barber races at Road America. Everything is updated... Followed all these directions multiple times. Join button doesn't work, but even when joining the server the other way, getting checksum failed. Lost a bunch of rating points too. Now I don't even want to try anymore until I know this is fixed. Verified integrity of game, updated apps, etc.

Checksum failed/kicked means you have the wrong version of something. In this case, you likely updated to the latest version of the Skip Barber car, which SRS has not yet updated to.
The Current Mod Downloads page should really point to the download page of the version SRS has installed, rather than the root page. No need to ever point to the root page, really, that way SRS doesn't have to keep track of what's the latest. Or, just point to the History page for whatever the mod is. I dunno!

I do have the latest version, so this has to be the reason. I will check this and report back. Thank you!

Ok. Thanks to your advice, I can now register directly with Content Manager. Unfortunately, I have to join the servers manually. Anyone know why this "join" button doesn't work anymore ???
Why don't you try to fix it. It is still more convenient to order everything from CM.
