I might be wrong on this, but I believe that some apps (not all), will use resources weather they are clicked active or not.
I'm not sure if that is true or not.

So.....I did the SRS race tonight and with the skin app off, no screen freezing . Turned the asw on rift s from auto to disabled, and no frame drops as well as close to 80fps. Thanks to all that posted. Keep posting if other issues arise
Jay, I believe you are correct in assuming that most apps use up resources. I turn off as much as I can when racing.
