Reality is that many people couldn't care less about safety. If you are not smart enough to understand the points system (or, as in most cases, you don't care) , tere is no real incentive in driving clean, and no sanction for being a pighead (apart from the individual reports, which are good but don't seem to have much overall effect). I am curious as to why SRS doesn't implement a "safety filter", as suggested above. Why not making one of the three daily 20 minute series limited to inc avg 2 and below, perhaps the series with the more interesting/attractive car? Safety rating of the participants, in my opinion, is much more important than overall rating in determining the quality of the racing experience for everybody involved.
