Alfa TZ Cup - Setups Thread
#1
Hello Everybody! Here's going to be one of the threads where I'll be posting the weekly setup for the Roundel Racing Alfa TZ Cup.

The other will be on our Discord - links in all of the VR Track Guide video descriptions for the weekly race!

Generally, the idea for these setups is that you want the springs and roll bars a little stiffer than default so that you can control the wild roll and dive characteristics of the car. It's impossible to keep the car from tri-podding all the way around the track, but you can help ease the weight transfers a little bit to avoid unwanted rear lockups, which I kept getting on the default, personally

Edit: Setups updated through VIR. One thing I've noticed as the weeks go on is that for longer, higher speed corners, the car really likes stiffer rear ARB to keep the inner rear wheel from cocking up off the ground quite so much, this really seems to help with getting the car to back into the corner with the tail in a slide pushing the car through. The softer bar generally seems to increase the yaw angle past the point of cohesion for the tires, so I've been running with the rear bar stiffer since I started practicing at VIR. This really helped solve a handling issue I was having at Bridgehampton.
