Please extend the last lap cutoff

So I took part in the last Praga R1 race of the season.  This was an hour at the Nordschleife with fastest lap times ranging from 9:17 to 8:23 and a full tank of fuel managing 3 laps.

Now I had put the practice in and worked out it was likely to be a 7 lap race ( though James Leader was only 49 seconds away from making it 8 laps ), so I did a two stop strategy for the fuel.

On the last lap there were two people in front of me, who ran out of fuel, but because of the cut off time at the end of the race I didn't get to finish my last lap.  This means that the result gets counted back and the two overtakes on the last lap didn't count loosing me those extra points.

So please can we extend the cut off time at the end of the races of these long tracks as it's demoralizing to have put the work into the practice and the race to loose places due to this.  This could even be extended on all the races, as on most tracks I don't think it will make a difference as the session is normaly ended by everone finishing and not the timing out system.

We'd only need the extension for tracks where the lap times are stupidly long right? Easy solution here would be to not use those tracks. Green Hell is a horrible competitive track for this platform, IMO. Racing for the first part of the first lap, then hotlapping for 20 minutes or an hour, depending. You don't need match making for that experience. Big Grin

Green hell is one of my favourite tracks because it is so different for all the other tracks we race.  You're right that there is less door to door racing, but it demands a lot of precision and control as it will punish any lack of concentration.  It is much more about you against the track.

Extending the cut off time in general would have the desired effect without any issues, and would allow us to still enjoy racing at the rare and historic, long tracks, like The Nordschleife and Circuit de le Sarthe.

"It is much more about you against the track." That's kind of what I'm getting at. Why not fill a track slot with something that more pits drivers against drivers instead, since that's what SRS excels at?

As far as extending the time, sure... so long as doing so doesn't mean that the schedule of races for the next hour time slot can't possibly suffer. *shrug*
