Question on penalties
#11
Totally agree with Michal. I'm all for serving the penalty in a way that minimises the impact on your own race but it should not affect anyone else's race. Don't defend your line or position while serving the penalty, it's like a blue flag situation. You are the slower car!

I have to say that if I came across someone doing this and it affected me I would be reporting them.

I have misjudged penalty serving at Spa before and ended up blocking the line through the final chicane, but I would then let them pass on the straight. Lets face it, you have a penalty because you exceeded the track limits, if you lose a place that is the penalty.

The worst penalty serving I have seen, is at Spa, where racers have got a penalty at Eau Rouge so slow down to almost standstill on the main straight.

Its easy, just serve you penalties after a corner in acceleration zone on the other half of track that is not the racing line a there will never be any issue.
