Wheels and bases
#1
Question
Hi,

I want to buy a better wheel but I've got a few doubts, hope anyone could help me.
I'm currently using a G29 and I was thinking in the Thrustmaster TS-PC as replacement, but it comes with a formula wheel and I don't want that. I know that there is a version with a Ferrari 488 wheel but I think it's too expensive compared to the regular version. So my doubt is, which wheels are compatible with the Thrustmaster bases? As far as I know all the Thrustmaster's wheels are compatible with this base but I don't see much variety. Are there other compatible wheels? Maybe unofficial ones?
Is it possible to buy this base without wheel?

I'll probably buy in the future the CSL Elite Pedals LC, do you think it's a good combo?

Thank you.

I went all the way to a TM T300RS (which is the Playstation version, I guess?) and I love it. It's belt driven instead of gear driven like your Gseries Logitech, so it's quieter and less... I don't know what the word is... segmented in its control? I don't know where the TS-PC is on the TM spectrum, but I'm pretty sure there's a table somewhere that shows all the compatibilities. I couldn't find one with a few seconds of googling, but you might have a better time of it. There's plenty of youtube video reviews for like everything. Just watch as many as you can tolerate. Protip: set the playback speed to 1.5 or 2.0 to blast through them. Apparently sim racing review youtubers get a bit windy. Big Grin

As far as the pedals, I literally just put in an order for the full CSL Elite with the Load Cell add on as an upgrade to the mediocre pedals that come with the T300RS. I'm pretty sure they are going to be worth the cash. I'll keep you posted. Wink

I had a T300RS a couple of years ago and now have a G29 and they're pretty much equal, also in terms of noise. If a T300 is an upgrade to a G29, it's only a very minor one.

If I'd upgrade from an already decent wheel like the G29, I'd go all the way and switch to Fanatec.

Get the CSL Elite Pedals first if you can. They're great.

If i have $ for upgrade from G29 then TS -PC is only option (if not enough $ for any DD wheel)

if talk about pedals then definitely one with loadcell , if you are capable to make them DIY then there are many plans and files on internet ( one very nice here https://youtu.be/YeAl9kJCB54)
