- if i charge into pitlane max speed without braking it auto puts speed on. Does it still recognise speeding in pitlane? 
or do i have to slow down to speed limit before crossing pitlane line?

You don't have to slow down. You can charge full speed. Be careful if the pit entry is mid-corner, it will lock your wheels if you going fast. There's no speeding in pitlane in AC.
