I've been off-and-on with sim racing for a few years now. Mostly I've been having fun with PC2 hotlaps and Dirt Rally. These days I've moved to Assetto Corsa in lieu of PC2, but still rallying strong otherwise.
But I've recently upgraded my rig, particularly with some Club Sport V3 pedals. The added consistency has made a night and day difference with my racing confidence:

I'm definitely looking forward to some amateur racing, without the punting and mayhem I've experience in public servers!
