Reconcider some restrictions on Protest footage requiremements
#11
Some tips:
- Start recording, then switch to the camera you want to record. The name of the driver you're recording will show up briefly at the top of the screen every time you switch cars or switch camera angles. It's as good as adding a subtitle, and it's generated by the game, so it's valid for the protest.
- Record every TV angle.
- Phoenix Mods (who also created LA Canyons and Pacific Coast Highway) has created "helicopter camera" add-ons for several tracks in AC. These often provide better views of the action, but are also too far away for the driver name floaters, so they should be used as supplemental views.
- Consider the following a good minimum: best TV view following yourself; best TV view following the offender; your in-car view; offender's in-car view.
- Have the Gears and Pedals apps visible in your replays. The telemetry isn't perfect on replay but can indicate when an offender is doing something blatantly stupid, like not braking for Canada Corner at Road America until the very last brake marker. Wink

Also one of the benefits of the protest process being cumbersome is that it forces you to spend time reviewing the incident in detail and maybe finding out it's not as clear-cut as you imagined in the heat of the moment. Wink
