Low attendance at races with ford spec racer
#17
I really wanted to love the Ford Spec, but I gave up after about 10 laps of testing. It wasn't a nice experience and I'll happily jump into anything from the little Tatuus to slithery, fire breathing old F1 cars. I just want respectful racing in enjoyable cars.

There are so many fun cars in AC. How hard can it be to have a simple series on daily rotation on classic tracks? The current selection leaves me feeling a little cold.

The most fun I've had in an SRS race was in a pretty basic Lotus Elise and also the Kunos BMW, Mercedes and Alfa touring cars. The most fun ever has been random lobby events in Toyota GT86s and the Kunos Escort at tracks like Laguna and Brands GP.

I'm really enjoying the DRM series, but the cars are a real handful and close racing only lasts for a handful of corners. I find the choices of tracks for the DRM cars hard to understand. Surely they demand flowing tracks like the fabulous Oesterreichring?

I'd love to see some retro touring car races in tin tops along the lines of Alfa GTAs, Escorts, the massive old Mercedes AMG 300 SEL 6.8 and maybe a similarly BOPed handful of cars like the 911 2.7 that's floating about on the forums. I've setup a few AI races and had so much fun with these wildly different, but similar lap times, cars. They shine on tracks like Spa 1988, Horsma and Mount Panorama.

Would there be a demand for Group C at Lemans?

Just my 2 pence worth.
