A reminder for those who use SRS with PC2.

Just yesterday I was in a race with someone who raced under a Steam name different from his SRS name and his results were not recorded by SRS. The result table looks as if I was alone in the race.

In addition, remember to enter your Steam ID 64 in the SRS user profile and generally follow the instructions here:

In Steam, go to your Steam profile

See the URL. If it is not shown, go to Steam settings > Interface and enable "Display Steam URL address bar when available"

It usually will be "https://steamcommunity.com/id/yourname"

Go to one of many website that offer steam ID decoding, e.g. https://steamid.io and paste your URL. It will display your various Steam IDs including steamID64

Regarding the name.
Which one should I change?
In my profile i can see ‘profile name’, ‘real name’ or ‘custom url’

Which one should be my SRS name? Which is my full name then?

I have objections to using my real name on steam because I am a moderator of a steam group.
Could I change my name in SRS accordingly?
If an admin can only change it, could you change my SRS name to Roellin' ?

I would love to take part in the GT3 race tonight.

Of course, I will start using my real name here again when the similarity between steam and SRS name is no longer an issue.

We only use real names here.
You can make another steam account and share the game, that way you wont need to change that steam account profile name every time you want to race.
