A true sportsman
#1
Since incident discussion is - quite rightly - banned, I wanted to say a word of appreciation for a driver, and especially a behaviour, which I found extraordinary.

In the morning Skip Barber series, Antonio Barroso and I were fighting for 3rd. For a number of laps, he was between 1 and 2 sec behind me. Then, second last lap, he decided to try an attack. He came closer and, as it happens, he went long on braking and pushed me off track, whilst he stayed on and went 3rd.

Well, he actually STOPPED immediately after the crash, and let me pass. In the process, he actually went fifth. Now - isn't that incredible?

Hat off to a true sportsman, and one would hope to see this kind of gentleman behaviour more often.

(By the way, I made a silly mistake on the last turn, and he - who had made his way back to 4th - got 3rd place by a cat whisker, so sportsmanship does pay too!)

There is great sportsmanship out there. Whenever things like that happen i tend so send a pm or leave + reputation.

We race close and sometimes it goes wrong. Its racing.

And it’s a shame when we must highlight an act of sportsmanship. Every driver must be punished by himself when doing a mistake that kill other driver’s races. I feel very ashamed when I hit someone and the first I do is let him or others to pass. They wouldn’t pay for my mistakes or recklessness. Thanks for sharing it Pete! You are a sportsman too!

Thats always my way of thinking when it comes to racing..
If you pass dirty, you give the place back... simple.
Props for the driver in question though. It's rare to see this respect shown.

In my opinion, when an overtake is made by mistake, all drivers should return the position.

It's great to see how drivers thank other drivers behaviour.

On the other hand, drivers should report all the bad behaviour, in order to become bad drivers aware of their acts. Anyone knows if the reporting tool is working?

It's working, but I haven't seen any results from stuff going on 3+ weeks now or so.
