#1
I have big lag when try to race in SRS servers Sad . FPS drop to 0 every few seconds. In a regular servers have no lag at all and everything is smooth. My ping is ~60.

Is there any tips? Huh

The word "lag" doesn't really describe what I think you are describing... which I think would more accurately be called "freezing". I get that from time to time, and I think it usually occurs when something dramatic happens on the server like 8 cars smashing into each other T1 at Spa... but it usually only happens maybe 1-2 times in an entire race, not every few seconds.

OK, maybe i am use unfit word, but problem still persist. In my case there is no need for something dramatic happens on screen. Its enough one car to came in field of view, and it causes dramatic "freeze" and skip of smooth wiev.

Which car/track combo is it? All of them? A specific track? A specific car? Some of the mods used in AC on SRS are not exactly the best optimized, graphically... which could result in poor framerate from time to time, depending on the power of your computer.

The freezing I've experienced doesn't have to have something dramatic on screen... just has to be somewhere on the server. It could be on the complete other side of the track from me.

I used to run a GTX 770/I7-4770 and certain random times get frame drops and mini freezes, now that i upgraded to a GTX 1080/I7-7700.......life is good, have yet to see a problem. It may depend on where the server is located......60 would be a local server almost......overseas would be like 120 ping. Packet loss may be a problem on your end.

All that clues, that you had mentioned, leads me to solving my problem. First, I have weak graphic card (ATI HD7770), and I try to use F3 mod.
Second, because my network is really good I release that the problem must be in hardware. So, in order to help my PC, I had to lowered cars resolution which had been in 4K, and each car had two big files of 21mb. Also I lower a little my graphic options in game, and all of that leads that now I never get les then 70 fps.
And finally, today I've been raced online on Catalunya circuit, and took 2. ; )

I think he went one by one and lowered the textures resolution. I wanted to try that, but I wasn't sure how it would work with SRS.

Should work fine. All skin files are client side. You could theoretically delete every file in every skin folder and it'd work just fine... you'd just see the default skin for that car show through (which might be a bunch of 4k textures though!).

You can do it in many programs for pictures view or pictures processing. For example, XnView do work for me.
Just go to folder where is your steam is instaled and then: ...steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars.
There you can find all cars folders that you have in game. Open one you wish to "fix", and then inside that folder open folder named skins. There you can find all versions of the selected car ( if there versions ). Inside each one you will find textures in .dds extension. Open .dds files with XnView, then resize their resolution ( I set it at 50% of original) then save it and that is all. Wink
