Well, that can't be true, otherwise all you aliens would NOT be in the 800-900 range, so it is somewhat reflective of what CAN be accomplished with dedication. You'll be there one day if Assetto Corsa Competizione doesn't steal your seat time...

I think rating just gives an indication unless it's very high, but to me the relevant stat is the top3/start ratio. I know right away looking at it, how competent a player is.

The saying goes: 'There's lies, then damn lies, then there's statistics'! If one chooses to race 'off hours', your top 3 to start ratio can be fairly high. Then you go on one of the heavily populated races during prime (Euro) time, and one may be lucky to be top 10. The thing is, for most of us, the score is irrelevant other than a permissive for choice server access. The focus is and should be on racing, whether in the front, in the middle or in the back of the pack. However, I am humbled by the incredible pace and consistency of the front runners who, for the most part, have the highest ratings and it motivates me to unravel the puzzle of how to approach their pace, during race conditions.

On GPL ladder (online racing sytem making rankings fro online races) was counting more pointsfor you when you finish in front of better driver which was good there

here now i am prety stuck at 739 , in last races , finish 10th in race and losing some 0,2 points which isn too motivating

yes i think so...when I see a high top3/start ratio I know that this guy will be very fast  beacause he problably was fast in every series and not just a specialist of the car...
This is not my season (not my type of cars) but I can still fight for wins.
And I see the fairly "new" "aliens" whos will reach  900+ ...

Congrats to Laszlo Nagy!

I have had the pleasure of racing with many of the names above at different times and really guys you should all be pretty chuffed with all your own rankings!, you all bring the SRS system alive for me at least and racing with you all is great even though I may be lower ranked (600s) than many of you I still am able to spot some of you (some somewhat briefly Wink )on track and you give me the inspiration to continue watching your lines, braking etc to better my own personal skill enjoyment and overall passion for the 'sport'

Also true i guess it's important for rating to be careful with incidents and bad races at the beginning, because then you just work out to negate them. I thought 0.8 for a win was already depressing, thanks for cheering me up with that 0.4 Alex  Big Grin

I get the dreaded .4 after a win after almost 750 starts, I drove everything with wheels in the beginning and didn't know how to avoid the incidents quite as well as i do now, but it was too little too late for my inc. rating to go back down...seen a pretty fast driver that manages to finish decent in what I've seen so far with a inc. avg. of  seven (7) after almost 80 starts....makes me look good with a (3)...had 17 hits (most ever) one race from multiple contacts like a pinball.

In my brief experience with the Caterham Academy series, I've had pretty bad luck with T1 unfortunately. I always see you in podium Michael, any tips for surviving T1 on the inside without getting spun from behind?  Confused
@ RBR T1 , Give room, outside to outside, inside to inside...inside may go out so you have to know what to expect...brake in the str8 and be on the gas ready to accelerate as soon as possible thru the turn..you're talking to a 3 inc. average here so i'm not really an expert on that particular subject....have no idea why i'm seemingly faster in this car, it's like some cars gel and some don't. Some tracks gel, some don't.

In irl racing that could be the case too (with what what and where it gels), but given that drivers are professionals it's always a matter of settings. I have pretty limited simracing experience, as well as real (some tourist laps here and there) but isn't it the same with simracing? Some cars must be driven so and some so-so with settings accordingly. To me that's the true mark of an "alien" speed driver - they're not just fast with gt3 cars, for instance, but with ANY car as they are not just masters of driving but also of settings. So many factors are live in a simrace with all drivers settings, on what equipment simrace wise, computer wise and internet connection wise. Cool article about it here, hope its ok to post. https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/s...my.155855/
Thats why, if its a more serious simrace e-sports event, all you alien speed dudes gotta go there in person, all racing without your precious / hated wheels and VR HMD's to play on whatever the organizers put there. But its a lan for sure, that much I know and probably no logitech wheels either hehe  Big Grin
Personally I just cant do good laps (by my own lowly standard) without VR anymore, im too used to it.
Drove my first lap at the Ring in pouring rain and fog, in an Audi R8 that my friend let me drive. Who was crazier?  Cool

Incredibly impressive indeed.

But I gotta say his Incident Average isn't that impressive as he's alone on the track most of the time ;-)
Amazing list of awesome achievements: 5th Lotus 25 2018, 4th DRM 2019, 5th Williams FW14 vs. Ferrari 643 2019, 3rd Ferrari 312T vs. Lotus 72D 2020
