Latency limits

I think only a handful of times I've encountered cases where everyone on the server was warping (typically an indication that I'd be the problem) but only one of those cases turned out it was me and not the server having issues. Apparently my router needed a reboot. I have zero latency issues with the server. When I see someone warping they will typically have a red name label and their ping can be anything from 100 to 400.

Ping is not everything, ladies and gentlemen. As much as Jaroslav is beating that drum on these forums, it is very possible to race safely and cleanly with a 250 or less ping so long as your connection is stable. I.e. stop trying to use wireless for gaming, and pause all your porn torrents before the lights go out, and you should be fine. Big Grin

I indorse every word from Russell. I had very clean races, without any kind of issues even in RaceRoom that is havier on multiplayer than AC and ping sensitive. I have 180ms in American servers and I was able to have a really tight race 2 days ago with Alex Nelson on SimForceSimEnthusiast's Ginetta, every lap, some side-by-side or late braking, clean race without any incident or even contact. Some days ago, I had a great battle with Alex Leif in some European Server that was like that one I told before but the only incident I had wasn't because of ping and totaly my fault for forgetting cold brakes at the second straight of Road America, that luckly didn't any harm to anybody because that move. Because on ping, I was shut off from server some days ago on R3E because probably a different route I had that day that changed my usual ping. The problem is not only this attribute, but stability of the service sometimes. Therefore, the most important factor is what is not related to ping, because most of incidents are avoidable and dependable of skill and compromise of players.
