[AMS2] Opala Stock Cars 1986 Championship - Donny vs Plank vs Pollinflas
#1
Myself, Plank Liveries (Michael Martin) and Sergio Mendez will be hosting a new Automobilista 2 championship. This championship will be on Mondays at 18:00 UTC (so two hours before our AC championship) and will use the Chevrolet Oplala Srock Car 1986. The schedule is as follows:
  • 2022-03-14: Taruma Internacional
  • 2022-03-21: Interlagos Historic Outer
  • 2022-03-28: Kyalami 1976
  • 2022-04-04: Goiania
  • 2022-04-11: Jacarepagua Histroic 2005 Oval
  • 2022-04-18: Imola 1972
The Chevrolet Opala Stock Car 1986 is a nice and easy car to drive, making it a great choice to jump into and just go racing. For more information about the car, check out the following two links

The championship will use some real weather too, where races are set for the current date of the race at 1pm in-game time.

Myself, Michael and Sergio will be streaming the races or making videos about them, so be sure to check it out. We'll also be on the SRS discord voicechat during the race, so feel free to join in if you are racing. I'll do my best to help out if you are having any issues

Make sure you have a check mark on the Automobilista 2 item in your profile to allow you to see the races on the race page. You won't be able to see them on the AC app or in CM for AC if I remember correctly, but you can see them if you open up SRS on a web browser or the AMS2 SRS app. Follow the steps to download the AMS2 SRS app as there are a few things you need to do. Take note, that unlike with the AC races, if you leave the server early then your result from the AMS2 SRS race won't be logged. This happens even if you leave the race after you have finished but before the server has closed. So just wait a few minutes until you get a message that says you have been disconnected from the server, then you are free to leave. Be sure to check out the News post for the other AMS2 championship, especially if you are in a USA timezone, or race early mornings from Aussie timezones, or very late nights in European time zones. That one uses the Lotus 23 from the Vintage Touring Cars Gen 2 category, and its hosted by Ted Hough.

Seems like I'm going to miss the race at Interlagos due to having a football training (its a one off one as we have a midweek game). Pity, as I was looking forward to this oval like race.
