Recording races
#1
I have my computer set up to record races, and it records the qualifying session not from the beginning.. it always seems the race session picks up from the second or third lap after all the first lap 'antics' have occurred.

is there a specific way to set up your recordings in assetto Corsa so it picks up the race from the very beginning? Like the starting grid?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like it just isn't set to record enough so all you get is the amount you have set from the end backward. Content Manager let's you type in a value that's more than a gig. You should be using Content Manager anyway because it is good. Here's my settings. I never miss a replay (qualifying or race), unless I do something stupid and watch the replay right after a race without selecting KEEP first. Big Grin

You can lower the quality of the recording so it saves longer sessions too. I have mine set to very low quality and it's fine for reviewing races or recording protests. If you want to create content for the public you migt want higher quality settings, I dunno.

Let me know if you want a copy of the recording from the race at Spa. I can upload it somewhere for you.

Thank you Russell (again) and Martin. If you wouldn't mind uploading the Spa race somewhere i'd appreciate it. If you don't get to it, no sweat.
I'm going to go change those settings!

I cheated on mine, I went in to the config file and now have it set to 4000MB. This now meens I get the whole 1 hour races.

Using Content Manager means you can type in whatever value you want (which is basically the same as typing in whatever in the config file). Also... CM estimates that 4 gigs would probably get you about 2.5 hours on Ultra quality, give or take. I think 2GB is probably as high as any 1 hour race could possibly run ya.

I think I put it at 4G for the 2.4 Hour Smile

Also rember it is a maximum so won't make my files any larger.

So far, I'm only doing 20min sessions.

Medium quality loses basically nothing and allows you to record well over an hour with a 1GB limit.
