Failed to Start race Ford Sierra. Ginetta problem?
#1
Hi, today I was registered to race on the Ford Sierra Cosworth at Monza, 00:00 hours. I've raced yesterday without any issues. I've updated the new version from 2.61 to 2.7. When I hit the "JOIN" button, it said:
"ERROR
ginetta_g55_gt3: Error cannot find lods.ini for  car ginetta_g55_gt3"

Don't know why is this error when I just tried to race on another category.
I've attached an image so you can see that error.

Did I make any mistakes?

Thx in advanced

I did a clean install, just in case, the problem is that, I have to wait till a Race comes up, so to test it, with the posibility to lost points, again.  Hope that will fix my problem.

I noticed that on the Mods&Tracks post here in SRS, the version, yesterday was and still is the 2.61, but I know thanks to Racedepartment's notifications, that there was an update to the 2.7 version.

Still thinking why there was a ginetta issue with a Ford mod

I'm pretty sure it will be a server car sync problem

delete your launcher data folder at mydocs/assetto corsa. That clears the cache.
You can always join directly by AC lobby, just search simracingsystem.

I just delete all the folders there, hope that could fix it. Thx for your response. Fingers crossed!!

Same issue.

I did a fresh install, before I deleted the old folders, I deleted launcher data from MyDocs, I enter thru the APP in AC, "ginneta issue", I entered thru Content Manager, same issue.

I went again to MyDocs and deleted the launcher data folder just in case, and in both instances (app on AC and CM) "ginetta error".

Does this mean I need to do a fresh install all the way? AC I mean...

Thx in advanced.

The deleting the launcher data does NOT always fix this problem. The only sure fire way to work around the issue is to join via the server browser (the Kunos tab in Content Manager). Search for "simracingsystem" and find the server you should be on and join from there. Works every time.

Or just search for “gsy” which is a unique string that does not appear in any other server names. Saves typing the whole thing Smile

If you use Content Manager (as everyone should, as it is the optimal front end for Assetto Corsa), you only have to type in a search string once. And it saves all the search strings you want to keep along the top of the server browser tab... so you can quickly look for all "simracingsystem" servers with but a click!
