Not possible to enforce, so there is no reason to attempt to (if it was somehow required and someone didn't want to use it, they could enable the app, but set all of the settings to not show cars and make the images invisible... or simply move it off to the side out of view). There is still no excuse not to see other drivers. There are many ways to look around regardless of your setup... you just have to be willing to use them!

And some kind of top down indicator is easily the best of all solutions since you don't even have to literally look around.
