Kinda lacks immersion and takes away from the fun IMO.
I wanna wrestle the car with close bumper to bumper racing
on the Nordschleife with 20+ opponents who are on a similar level.
I think "close bumper to bumper racing" and "Nordschleife" are mutually exclusive. As are "20+ opponents" and "on a similar level".

I would take Nordschleife over the boring Italian tracks full of chicanes for sure. Monza = 3 chicanes, Imola = 3 chicanes, ...
It's not a problem to update Q length so that you can do a lap or two with a time, 10min Q would mean 1 timed lap only. Race for 20min = 3 laps. Even 15min race would most likely be 3 laps race. A lap around Nord is 7:19 in an E30 or at least used to be.
There does not seem to be an equal level or big competition on SRS, most of the fast people I already know from elsewhere.
The points scoring system also discourages any competition at all.

Exactly, the calculation in AC is not very precise either. In leagues it may actually be required to drive back to pits after race before spectating = 1 more lap, otherwise you have to stop out of track and wait. It's always better to have more than too little.
An E30 DTM is also sub 2:00 on Monza but slower as always than Alfa. With E30 it's trickier to get to 11 laps. Mercedes... even as little as I ever drove it I do have an 1:59.308 saved for it for 5 laps race and 1:59.610 for 15 laps race, it has it's advantages in stability for Monza.
So odd to see most are over 2:00 no matter what car considering Monza is 3 chicanes and 3 corners only. Barcelona was 3 chicanes 9 turns and it seemed way more competitive. Hopefully it improves by end of week.

I don't pay any attention to the AC calculation because of how inaccurate it is, I prefer to work it out myself then I can be sure.
