I was just damaged in a collision during the Tatuus race at Zand, and I was able to limp into the pits losing 4 or 5 spots. I was sure I would be able to repair and get back in and get at least top 10... but pitting wasn't available. I couldn't even use the pit menu (arrow keys) nor hit ESC to show the "return to pits" option.
Did this change? If so, any particular reason why? I could see the thought being "sprint races don't need a pit, if you get messed up, you are out of the race" but I'm not sure that's all that fun for the audience here.
Is this just a setting mistake? Is it a bug on my end? Can other people pit in these races? I'm 99% sure we used to be able to pit and repair before.

I've definitely pitted in the 20min races recently; just this season I started a Tipo race still on quali fuel and had to dive in for a splash with a couple of laps to go. lol
