Endurance SRS Races ("24h") - Daniel Escudero - 09-29-2019

Great Implementation by Simracingsystem in adding this types of races! In my opinión it was the unique kind of series that i missed here.

I hope we will get a full calendar (6 races)  because the concept is so interesting, it is free to dream about spa 24h or nordschleife coming soon.

Altought i need to improve to get the score enought to race them (at least 600 for the GT3, 700 my beloved LMP2) i know what is the idea behind,...that the people that joins the Endurance races will be serious and experienced to not ruin the experience on the first minutes after the start Big Grin.

Thanks SRS for this great addition!.... its time to work and get some points on my side to participate on the action!

I also would like to see on SRS multiclass races with LMP2 and GT3 would be kinda EPIC?

Which tracks would you like to be added if you could chose your 6 prefered ones? May be this way you could help SRS make the final decisión? You know guys that Henrique is watching you! Big Grin

In my case My proposed list is:

Sebring
Road Atlanta
Donington
Mount Panorama
Nordschleife
Sonoma

Extra 2:
Phillip Island
Willow Springs

If this concept works out, then we could have regional series like we have for GT3 now, but limit the track selections.

Asia - Blancpain Asia and/or ALMS
Europe - WEC/ELMS
Americas - IMSA

Yep i really like this idea!

the  problem is..
.i live on Eurozone BUT i prefer the american tracks Big Grin

Appart from that it would be great to emulate the Real Series. BTW i Think 2 days per week should work good, there are many people that i think will embrace these "endurance" series! Lets see!

Guys, you have to mind that most of the tracks you're suggesting are not available for Assetto Corsa (or not eligible for SRS as being a rip and/or a not approved conversion)

I'm loving the idea of the longer races even if it increases your incidents / race.

I feel that you need to use the longer tracks for these races like Nordschleife, Circuit de la Sarthe, Paul Ricard or Bathurst.

take it easy with Nordschleife choice, did you see how many incidents some guys have there in 1 hour race? 15+. Imagine how many they will have in a longer race Big Grin

Ban to the Nord for this series lol.

Has anybody done any running for this weeks race. I'm thinking of braving LMP1. Without taking the BOP into consideration i'm quite happy doing 1:10s

RE: Endurance SRS Races ("24h") - Sergio Mendez - 10-02-2019

I will do GT2.. how many times will you lap me? I was testing GT2 running with 14 lmp1 around and it was an amazing... but stressful

VR + old age + 1.5 hr test runs w/AI = numb forehead. GT2 for me. A true endurance test.

True, but recall the first J vs. Z series (with the BMW 235i) followed the back half of the IMSA calendar:
  • Watkins Glen
  • CTMP
  • Road America
  • VIR
  • Laguna Seca
  • Road Atlanta
...so that, at least, is covered.

ELMS is also possible:
  • Paul Ricard
  • Monza
  • Barcelona
  • Silverstone
  • Spa-Francorchamps
  • Portimao

The difficulty might come with ALMS, but there are enough Asian tracks already on the mod list to "fake it":
  • Fuji
  • Buriram/Chang
  • Suzuka (or replace it with a better track)
  • Sentul *
  • Okayama GP *
  • Tsukuba *
