Solo races - Ryan Watkins - 07-30-2019

I have signed up for two races now, and i always have an empty server, is this just due to my rating or what?

Sometimes people just don't sign up. The biggest turn outs are for the big Youtube series races for both Europe and the Americas, and then daily race times that are European primetime. If you are trying to sign up for a race around now (I see your post was up 14 minutes ago as I type), then North America is still in bed and most of Europe is still at work.

I usually race in my mornings before work which is 2 hours from now and those daily races usually fill 1.5 servers... so if you can wait a couple of hours, you can race me in the Audis. Smile

Thanks, I think i have just been unlucky, my first race there were 48 that entered and 24 for my second, so i'm guessing i got pushed out to go by myself.

Would I need to install all the mods, or am I able to pick and choose?

You only need the mods for any individual race you want to register for. If the app doesn't see the mod folders installed in the correct place, it'll say so and you won't be able to register. That said, if you have an OUTDATED version of a mod for a mod that does not change their folder structure every time they update, it is possible to register for a race but then get kicked with a checksum failure once you get on the server.

And yeah, I didn't think about the fact that maybe you were joining races where you were literally the one odd man out... that can certainly happen too. You'd be able to tell if you actually got points for the race (you have to be in a race with at least 6 registered racers to get credit, but if you are not on server1, that means at least 23 signed up so you'll get credit, even if you are literally hotlapping for 20 minutes by your lonesome.
