Yes, you are right. I've tried them, when you get the hang of it it drives great! Maybe even more fun than the GT3 cars. On default TC and ABS is off, I found it very hard to drive, turned both on and it was a blast. After some practice I was able to turn both off again and could still drive with confidence.
I've been practising suzuka for next week, looking forward to it!
