Praga series - Marc Neutelings - 10-27-2018

Yesterday i saw something weird during qualifieing on Spa....

When entering the server and you are lucky to be on the first spot in the pits you have an advantage. Yesterday the guy in first spot drove of the second quali started and set on his outlap a really fast time. This shoulden't be the case because he has an advantage of a few 100 meters because he starts way before the start/finish line, and the time counts as lap. I asked him about it and he aknowledged it. As a matter of fact sometime this week it happened to me too. On a 95% grip track in the beginning i can't set the time i do later on when the track improves, but on my outlap i was 2 seconds faster then later laps.

Am i the only one that saw that?

Yes, that's a well known issue with the track.

Really a shame Kunos never fixed that. They should have also fixed a couple of penalty zones, but never did.

thanx Simon, didn't know that

Just had my first race in this series and even though there's a thread about the poor quality of the racing everybody was behaving quite nicely. There was a crash after the start on the Kamel straight, but that just happens every now and then.

Must have cleaned up during the week then, especially earlier this week the Praga series was pure Mayhem. Maybe Mr. SRS has been busy viewing protests Big Grin

RE: Praga series - Russell Sobie - 10-28-2018

I did my first (possibly last, due to it being too early in the morning for me usually) and other than one person parked just outside the racing line causing a head-on, the race was fairly clean, especially for Spa, which usually starts off every race with a pile up T1, and another at Eau Rouge. So I guess your results may vary!

RE: Praga series - Anibal Rodriguez - 10-31-2018

can i use any tyre  for the race and the qualy?, ( i don't race in this serie yet, for that the noob question)

RE: Praga series - Jim Canna - 10-31-2018

Yes any tire; tire choice is open.

RE: Praga series - Russell Sobie - 10-31-2018

Softs will last through a 20 minute race, but in my last couple of goes at Silverstone they start to get fairly unreliable for the last 3-5 minutes of the race and you have to take it a bit easy if you haven't been babying them the rest of the race. Most of the top finishers were using Softs... so my guess is that using Mediums is going to be a pretty big disadvantage.
