Disconnection during race - Marvin Schwarz - 10-07-2018

Are there any tips to prevent connection loss to server during a race?

I already run a wired setup with 50Mb/s down, 25 Mb/s up. I was disconnected from the 15:00 GMT Audi TT asia series at VIR when in 4th place; I had reasonably high ping (100 ms) and I think it was a USA server.

100 ms should be fine, i'm sure we all get unusual disconnects from time to time, I know i have, my ping is like 120ms and does fine overseas servers, I'm a 30 ping in USA, 65mb/s down  5mb/s up connection. All you can do is reset the modem and check your http://www.speedtest.net/ before race.

Thanks. These things happen I guess. I'm going to look into setting up QoS on my router to proiritise the internet traffic when I'm racing Smile
