Confusing First Race Start - Alex MacFadyen - 08-27-2018
Hey guys, did my first start in SRS today, can anyone explain what happened? Was on starting grid in Assetto Corsa Imola, lights went out, I dropped the clutch and everyone's cars disappeared for a second and I got a drive through penalty. I now understand what a drive through penalty is but why I received one and why my opponents cars disappeared is my question. Can anyone clarify this for me?

I've seen that before, but everyone on the server experienced it... not just me. Actually did NOT go out in these instances... at least not until the server informed my client to hit the gas. So maybe it was your connection?

I have had that happen once too. I jumped stated as a result and got drive through. I think it is just a bit of a glitch.

Sometimes the servers have a little hickups – inI over 100 races this happened only once to me though. Guess you got really unlucky :-)
