When i tried to join it was saying "no available slots" on the loading screen, i l also noticed there was a minute difference between the app and here in the countdown if it can help. I kept trying but no luck, seems most of us got DNF for it.

the races was restarted 10 mins later, as announced on the chat.

Do these drivers that received DNF's get penalized points?

They do, but it's corrected on the next race they eprform on that series.
