Lotus 25 Black Wheels - Mike Waltz - 02-11-2018 I wanted black "wobbly web" wheels as seen on privateer Lotus 24's. e.g. I couldn't get the Kunos rim template to open in CS2, but I found a skin with colored wheels (http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/nart-lotus-25.10789/) and copied the technique used by the author. My work is pretty sloppy but it looks good in the game. [attachment=138] The zipped DDS file is attached below. RE: Lotus 25 Black Wheels - João Dias - 02-14-2018 Thanks Mike, I made my wheel but couldnt figure the syntax for the file name. Does anyone know how drivers suit/helmet/gloves files should be labeled? Thanks RE: Lotus 25 Black Wheels - Russell Sobie - 02-15-2018 Don't know which texture file to alter for a part you want to customize? Use Content Manager! So it looks like in this case if you just want bright pink leather, you alter "leather.dds". But who am I to judge? As far as the gloves/suit, I usually just edit the skin.ini file in the skin directory and pick one of the many defaults available there that match my car. I've made a helmet once, but I'd rather spend all my time on car bodies. Hah... I should have read the original post more clearly. When I see "wheel" I think "steering wheel" not the round things you put tires/tyres on. File syntax just needs to be whatever the game requires. In 99% of times it's a .dds file at a particular compression rate that is typically dictated by how good (or if you need) alpha, or transparency, you require for the texture. Is that what you mean? RE: Lotus 25 Black Wheels - Mike Waltz - 02-16-2018 That's cool, will have to check that program out. Thanks |
