Silly question perhaps but I guess I am not the only beginner to wonder what this is...

So, in the standing charts, what are the SP points?

This is the total number of points from race qualification or your accumulated Starting Positions.
1 point per position on the grid. LOWER is better. Used to split the differences in tied points situations.

Hi Jim,

Almost... Wink

SP = Sum of race Positions

It's the sum of all your race finish positions of the valid races in the season. If you did 3 races and finished 1st, 3rd & 6th in those, then your SP will be 1+3+6=10
