Donny MacGarry Vs Plank Liveries vs Pollinflas - Mclaren P1, LaFerrari, 918 Spyder - Donnchadh MacGarry - 10-17-2021

I am happy to say that myself (Donny MacGarry), Sergio Mendez (Pollinflas) and Michael Martin (Plank Liveries) will be hosting an SRS championship this season. We decided it would be fun to do a championship with 3 pretty balanced cars, where we pick 1 each to use for the whole season, and battle it out to see which is the best car and driver. Sort of like they would do on Top Gear (evidently I'm the Richard Hammond of the group as I'm a small, loud mouthed Leprechaun   Big Grin ).

The cars we have for this championship are some modern supercars, all three being Kunos content:
  • Porsche 918 Spyder (Donny)
  • Ferari LaFerrari (Pollinflas)
  • McLaren P1 (Plank Liveries)
The tracks we will be driving are as follows
  1. 18th October - Imola
  2. 25th October - Road Atlanta
  3. 1st November - Watkins Glen International Boot
  4. 8th November - Laguna Seca
  5. 15th November - VIR Full Course
  6. 22th November - Tor Poznan
Races are on every Monday at 19:00 UTC (although I think that might change with daylights savings, I'll update this if it does)

Hopefully it will be a fun championship. We would recommend that anyone competing could also join in the team action and pick a side, where they use that same car for all 6 weeks, although its not mandatory. Could be a lot of fun, with maybe some banter on which car is best (remember in Top Gear they argue their car is best even when they know its not). I haven't got around to trying them out the Porsche yet and I don't often drive modern supercars, so this will be a new experience to me.

Oh and finally, all three of us should be streaming the race, so be sure to check it out during the race if you aren't driving, or afterwards when you have finished the race (with hopefully a good result in the Porsche, wink, wink).

I hope you all enjoy the series! Super cars in known tracks. Not too many things to tweak in the setup screen. Just adjust the pressures and drive. The cars are fun especially when you try to be fast and need to set the TC in the lower levels.

Thanks all for joining the first race of the series. It’s been a blast to see that much people taming the beasts, with a little help of the TC and ABS of course. Next week we’ll drive at Road Atlanta but we’ll give a go to the new 2021 version. Link to the download is updated in the downloads page. Our practice server has been updated too. You are free to join it for some practice laps.

The newer track mod has blue and yellow curbs instead of green and yellow. How will people cope with such drastic changes  Tongue

So after thinking it would be great to stick with the same car all season, Sergio decides he wants to try a car with some brakes. So were going to do 2 races each in each car.

So in Top gear style were going to try out each others cars.

Sergio will drive the Porsche 918. Hopefully with less dents.

Donny will drive the simply magnificent Mclaren P1

And i'll get lumbered with the brakeless Ferrari.
