Pre-war series request - Brian Messina - 02-27-2021
Hi all! I love classic cars specially pre war cars, I'd like to request if it's possible a weekly series of a pre-war car there's the 1923 grand prix cars and also Auto Union type C from 1937 on Racedepartment. There's also plenty of old tracks like Monaco 66 for example. I've joined S800, TZ and lotus 49 series already, they're amazing!!

Hi gents, I have the 1923 Sunbeam installed quiet a while and have taken it around Goodwood(as you do lol) . It is great but mad dangerous ,it has 3 gears with hshifter and does about 120+mph top end. Think " Haywagon with Locomotive engine strapped to it" ...such a laugh to drive and hard to stop as it gets all twitchy when you go hard on the brakes . Id say we would see some hilarious races with this car. good luck gents !fun idea

Indeed Peter, they're amazing, from what I've read they normally weren't hard on the brakes cause they overheated easily (Drum brakes), so the technique let's say was to use the engine to slow down the car. Such a cool way of driving, same thing applies to the 250F, there's an interview where Fangio talks about that.
