Accidental multi-class racing!
#1
Can we talk about the GT2 BoP for a moment? I've now been in two Euro races where all the Ferraris were at the front; today the whole pack led by _a minute_ at the finish. I feel like I picked up a class victory in a multiclass race. And, to be honest... I wouldn't mind if we just decided to score it that way.  Big Grin
Is there enough historical data from past GT2 series (where car choice wasn't restricted) that we could simply come up with a calculation for BoP based on SRS's prior experience? The current BoP is a great attempt — certainly much better than just removing cars from the selection, like we used to — but it's coming up short in practice this season.

As you say Pasha the Ferrari is OP with this BoP but certainly all credit to SRS in attempting to balance the cars properly.
I actually looked at the BoP when this was first announced and said to my team the Ferrari would be the car to choose, knowing how quick all the cars are by default it was pretty clear that the vette and the rsr were being handicapped too hard even without testing the cars with the BoP.

I chose the RSR when I raced as it was the only one I have a team skin for and I also felt like I was only racing the other cars - the Ferrari weren’t in the same class unfortunately.

Nevertheless it is good data and I am sure Henrique will further refine the BoP for next time so all good really Smile

See you on the track!

I will propose a revised BoP next week. I have done a lot of testing, although it's probably not as off as some would think. I came only 2s off my 458 time in the RSR on 8min lap on the Nord, and the car really needs a bop, without it i do 7:49, it would destroy everything else without restrictions. Also people tend to not go for softs with the RSR or even the C7, because it's easier to do with the 458 (but the C7 also pretty easy) so it skews the impression a bit. This is why we need a mix of restrictor and ballasts, that should level some of the tire difference as well. However spoiler alert it's never gonna be perfect everywhere, different tracks require different qualities and they are fundamentally very different cars, one mid engine, one rear and one front. The BMW might be hopeless.

This is an excellent point. To be effective, we'd probably need BoP per track, and, as the memes say, ain't nobody got time fo dat.
