Forbidden to chat?
#1
Why is it forbidden to chat? Is it because of insulting or... just because of Annoyance?

Just don't use the chat while the race is still going because it can distract people.

It's totally fine and appreciated when you use the chat before and after the race though.

I don't think that rule has ever been enforced. I see people f-bombing at each other all the time in chat before, during, and after races. I don't think the Protest Form is set up for screenshots of the chat app or pitstop chat UI.

I always use the chat directly after the race, didn't know that you can see the messages during the race..

You have to expose the Chat app as part of your HUD's layout. Given that 5% of most races include someone using one of those annoying league-specific off track/pit announcing chat scripts, it's probably better if you just left the chat app hidden, but I'm a glutton for punishment.

I use 'Voice Attack' with set expressions that I could speak and the program would type it into the chat app window.

That being said. I keep the chat window closed during the race, then go to the setup screen after the race and read all the drama then.

Well if anyone wantd to yell at me during a race after I supposedly wrecked them (though I normally don't wreck people, there has never been a successful protest against me), don't bother. I have chat closed, and even if it was on screen by default (like in PC2), I probably wouldn't read it anyway.
