fwd tyre problem
#1
hi racers, i need a advice..
I've been trying to race with the skoda for a couple of days, but I always find myself around halfway through the race with serious problems with my tyres.
Maybe i drive too aggressively to try to stay in a good position? Or maybe I have to think about doing a setup? For the moment I'm with the basic setup.
thanks for any reply.

I didn't try Skodas at all but it's probably a forward wheels drive car? That's not unusual. It might as well be that it's exactly that, you're just running too hard on the fronts. And some guys can save those tires and still be reasonably fast in the last laps. These cars require a setup that will transfer that weight load off from fronts to rear. Somewhat. Depends on the car's balance when braking hard for corners and going through. But more importantly, not getting too early on the gas and spin tires on the exit. Overheating produces bigger tire wear, front or rear. So you make sure to watch the Tire App while deciding on tire pressures, and also while practicing and see what kind of driving makes your tires heat up less.

Thank you, I'll try as you say..
another question you talked about the pressure of the tires but how do I regulate it?
Forgive me I'm just starting out and I don't know where to put my hand.

Use THIS app that is already in AC and read the explanation. It's an older article. But this is about the first thing you should do when taking a car on track. Start the app, place it somewhere where it doesn't obstruct your view. You must be patient and drive a couple of laps. You should watch the temps/pressures if they are too low or too high. Maybe you can do something with changing your driving style. If not, then you can change tire pressures to use for the next couple of laps. It takes a bit of time to lap around the track and discover the way the car changes with different temps and pressures, but running it correctly is an important part of any race car or road car. Then get into setup: gears, then suspension etc. to make the car even better.

In my opinion, the proTyres app makes dialing in correct pressures much easier than the default app (pressure is more important than temp when it comes to grip, says the Internet).

You'll also want to keep the latest update pak installed since some mod cars don't work perfectly with the app out of the box.

Nothing fancy... just do a number of consistent laps then adjust pressures so that the bars are in between the two black lines for each tire.
