Hello,

A while ago I faced this very same issue when trying to join a race: I get an error message saying that I'm missing some file regarding a car that isn't even in the event. Some staff guy told me to delete the contents of the "launcherdata" folder, and it did work.

A few weeks later this issue came up again, but this time I knew the solution already, right?

Not right.

Turns out that by deleting the contents of that folder I lose a lot of settings of my Assetto Corsa game. It's very unpleasant if this keeps happening all the time, specially because sometimes I don't have the time to delete the folder and still join the race. I just missed a race I've been practicing for for hours because of this issue.

Anyway, is there any workaround to prevent/stop this from happening again? Or can anyone tell me what's the exact cause of this problem so I can manage to prevent it from happening myself?

Don't use the Join button. Search for "simracingsystem" in the Online server browser menu. You can join ANY time for the race, not just 3 minutes until race time. Even in the middle of the race itself.

Just restart Content Manager before clicking join.
