Sim Racer to Real Life - Oscar Williams
#1
Sim Racer to Real Life - Oscar Williams had never been on a real race track before, or even sat in a formula car. He proved that a sim-racer can transfer their skills to the real world. This video showcases all the emotions Oscar goes through, as well as an onboard lap of his fastest lap! Enjoy guys

Very cool. The tone of the video made it sound like this was super tragic though... this wasn't a Make A Wish or anything depressing like that was it?

yeah, the tone of that video put me off a little as well, haha

incredibly cool experience nevertheless, I'm definitely jealous :-)

I live near the Red Bull Ring where you can drive F4 cars. But 20 laps around the South Course are 1000 Euros. I hope that one day I can justify spending so much money on something like that.

That's comparatively cheaper than doing a laps on a tiny "race track" in Vegas at Dream Racing (that's the most track day XP I've got). It was almost 600 USD for a package that included 4.5 laps in a Ferrari Scuderia and a Lambo LP550-2. I say 4.5 because you actually only get to do 4 full laps. 20 in a Formula 4 car on a REAL race track sounds like a total steal at 1000 Euros (1098 USD at time of typing).

I'm going to have to look around for something similar here in the states... or just plan my next European vacation around doing that. Big Grin
