Custom Helmet not showing
#1
Hi Guys

Noticed recently that my helmet doesn't show up on stream.. And also doesn't show in single player mode either.
Yet it worked a couple of weeks ago.

I've checked size of the .dds file and all is ok.

Can anyone shed any light on any steps i need to ensure i take when making/saving my helmet design....???

Thanks

EJG

Which car? If the helmet is normally referenced from the same skin folder as the car livery, it should just be a matter of naming it correctly.

If you've added it since the SRSTV client has already downloaded your skin, you'll need to create a NEW folder locally, move all your texture files over to the new folder, delete the old folder, and rename the new folder to be what it has to be for the Skin app to see it (skin app looks at folder date modified, not files).

If the car doesn't actually have a helmet as part of the base package (like most of them), you'll have to do a bunch of shinanigens to get the skin app to download your custom helmet. Check out this old ass thread here where I use DOS skills to get the skin app to grab the texture and then reference it in the skin ini file! http://www.simracingsystem.com/showthrea...69#pid9869
