Proposal for the next series.
#1
Hello guys!

I have a proposal to tell to the organisers in order to the races would be more clean and with less incidents. The proposal is to increase in 100% of damage instead of 60% that we have now because I think it will be a measure that let us to be less agressive because when we have this level of damage we will have to think before overtaking or doing some manoeuvres.

Thank you so much in advance.

See you in races!! Smile

All 100% damage does is make people quit races sooner because there is now a chance their cars might become undrivable. Higher damage percentage in no way changes actual racing behavior. Asshats are going to be asshats whether or not their cars fall apart in collisions. At least with lower damage racing incidents and/or netcode incidents don't cost people the whole race on the first lap.

At least they would quit or go the pit, instead of perpetuating incidents. "100% Damage" used to be a thing on US servers, i didn't really notice it until.. well something drastic happened on Road America. Personally i wouldn't mind at all, im sure eventually that would calm down some people but it would take some time, a lot of DNF's and collateral damages in the process.

The bad driver would quit, but so would the innocent driver or drivers they took out, usually on lap 1. That's what the 60% helps with. Sure, some aggressive chucklehead gets to stay in the race and might be a danger to others, but once lap 1 is over, that guy's aura of danger shrinks significantly. It's the innocent drivers that get punted/dive bombed that 60% helps, and I'd rather the rules be nicer to drivers just trying to race than be overly punitive to the rare asshole.

Reckless people won’t change their ways even with 100% damage. They don’t care about inc ratio or car damage. They only think in overtake you in the next corner and let the chips fall where they may. They won’t care about their cars so they won’t care about you. It’s a shame but in my opinion an incident ratio filter to enter in split 1 is the only way I trust.
