Blue Flags

I'm am some one who despite often finishing in the top ten, often gets lapped. I will always keep an eye on the realtime leader board and do my best not to hold anyone up, especially if there is close racing, but I have had people who despite having 10 gaps front and back, pushing through when there wasn't a gap.

Can I also point out that it is the driver who is lapping's job to make sure it is safe to overtake as well. If your unfortunate enough to catch someone as you enter a complex with a number of corners be patient and wait.

Also please don't feel you need to flash your lights. If some one has had a number of chances to get out the way in sensible places then fair enough but otherwise it just comes over as arrogant. I might be slower than you but I have a right to race as well. You might think that if your not in the top three there's no place on the track for you but some of us ( most of us ) just aren't that good.

I agree with you on all your points, although I always flash my headlights when approaching backmarkers. Not as a sign of aggression but as a way of me alerting them that I'm approaching and saying 'look! I'm here!' - I never thought this may come accross as rude to others though.

I believe flashing lights is an established custom in real life endurance races, especially multi-class. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. A focused driver may fail to notice an incoming car. Even in game, a blue flag may be missed especially in VR,

Another request for backmarkers: if I pass you on the last lap on the race, please don't try to race me . Even if you re-pass me, it won't change the race result at all. And you may crash out both of us.

Yeah... I'm all for everyone having a chance to race, but if you are getting lapped for whatever reason, getting lights flashed at you is something you're just going to have to deal with. We don't know if you know how to get passed, or if you have a Blue Flag app to help you see (or hear in the case of Crew Chief) that you are about to get lapped... so every bit of info helps. Flashing lights is "here I come, don't do anything stupid."
