Audi TT Cup KN5/FBX PRoblem
#1
Hi lads,

I've tried to make a skin for the Audi TT but I'm experiencing an error everytime I load the model.
It does not "scale" normally and appears very, very tiny. Everytime I try to navigate my view around the car I arrive somewhere entirely different than I wanted to, since I have to zoom in so much that every pixel I move my mouse becomes a 7 mile step.
Besides that the wing and window objects are flying around above the car and arent proprely placed.
Anybody else has trouble with that?

Typical models are scaled very small for a number of 3d apps (Mudbox is one of them). During the cleanup process for cars I scale them up so that they are closer to what scale the application is usually accustomed to. In Mudbox, I would say I scale them 100x bigger before beginning painting.

And yes, I remember various parts of the geometry on the model free floating. I mostly undid some arbitrary rotation on those parts to get them to sit (mostly) where they are supposed to.

I don't know what app you are using, but I might be able to share a cleaned up Audi TT Cup file with you to get you started, if scaling isn't something you can easily do. What are you using?
