My first guess would be that they didn't have the updated track http://www.simracingsystem.com/showthread.php?tid=4417 and couldn't download it in time to enter the race. I participated in the previous race and only 2 of us competed. I recall seeing a checksum message for one of the other drivers - meaning he didn't have the updated version of the track.
