When I add my custom helmet it puts the file over the SRS file size limit... any advice.

Lower the resolution of some of your files that aren't going to be seen all that much. My main skin file is always 5.4mb, everything else is usually less than 1mb.

It's always possible as a friend sent me a skin folder to put on a diet... It started at 161mb and I managed to trim it down to 9.1mb. Just got to get it on that treadmill. Big Grin

Yikes... 1MB? I think I can count on one hand the times I've finished a skin that was under 5MB. Missing a few fingers.

That said, another thing you can do is see if there are files in your skin folder that you can straight up do without. Some car skins include things like liscense plates, gloves, custom tire textures and bump maps, etc.. If you use Content Manager, take a look at your skin in the CM Showroom, and then one at a time, delete the files right out of your skin folder. CM Showroom will live update based on what is available, and many of the extra stuff you delete will swap over to whatever that car's default would be.

I want to say that the Tatuus FA01 normally comes with custom tires, but if you delete them you get perfectly acceptable alternate tires... and that makes more room for that skin helmet skin you made. Smile

I think you misread that Russell. The Skin.dds for example is always 5.4MB but other files like the rims and trimmings are all 1MB or less (usually less than 500KB actually). My overall skin folders end up between 7-8MB in most cases Big Grin
