I feel that most drivers on SRS are fair and skilled, if you qual among the top 4-5 cars. If you do get hit, and find your self far back in the field, well, then you have to be very careful. I usually just wait for them to do a mistake, and I dont have to wait for long. As for Spa, unskilled driver have a tendency to try to win the race in T1, Au Rougue or the breaking zone before the bus stop. I think the key is to know who you are racing against, if its Butler (or Nagy, Leif, Vins, Martin, Quelhas, Kovalevsky and so on) I know that he wont try anything stupid. If there is a driver I dont know, I’ll be more passive. Today at Spa, DTM, I did qual in second place.
Got a name I didnt knoe on 4th, right behind me. He bumped into me 6 times during lap 1, I finally got far enough ahead, but then on the last lap, he smashed me in the bus stop, and then hit me again after the race. It gave me 13 inc. Tried to send him a message, but he had blocked his message box (I wonder why....)
So you never know who you might run into, but in general I find most racers to be dair and skilled, at least among those in front. But because of T1, Au Rogue and the bus stop, Spa is a track where unskilled driver can cause a lot of damage. I also guess that there is a lot of youngsters driving right now, its summer, and they have a lit of spare time. They dont care about respect and racing, they just want to overtake with any means necessary. I dont report anyone anymore, I drive in VR, so the name is not visible in the video.
So what to do? Well, this is just for fun, the maniacs leace the system pretty fast anyway, they dont last long.
