To those still thinking the Alfa is way too fast:

http://www.simracingsystem.com/raceresul...%3D&e=g7qp

Just came 3rd and I was over 2 seconds off the pace of the top two guys, and the first of those was in the BMW. Most of the rest of the field is at least 4 seconds off the pace per lap so not really representative of the cars pace, more the driver. Only when you get within the limits of the car, will you see the true comparison. And in this case it was only about 2 tenths advantage in best lap time to the Alfa driver, but he could not get the lead still.

So it is at least possible to win in the BMW!

You could have slowed down just a bit so we could bang wheels.  Wink
I'm going back to the BMW, though. I don't care if I'm ever so slightly faster in the Alfa, the BMW is more fun to drive.

Why wonder if someone, who uses ontroller, win race ,
natural view when playing with controller  is chasing cam,and i see two big advantage here
1. great position for driving precize on apex
2. great position for see around the car, this is especially true at the start of the race, when it's a big buzz, to avoid the mess, but also later in the race.

Even with a wheel I personally know some people who start race in chase view then after T1,T2 switch to cocpit view,
that way  in a large number of cases they avoid unnecessary contacts
And if someone is used to playing with the controller, and it does for years, it can really be fast and fastest on the track

I know of a few decent drivers that use a gamepad, and none of them use chase cam views. If you want to avoid contacts, you should use Helicorsa or Car Radar (or both, as seen in the video below). Works great not just for the start of the race, but for all of the race!

Matias is very good, he won Brands Hatch GT3 as well in a Nissan GTR, something you wouldn't really expect. At the end of the day, cars, setup, .. don't matter as much as some might think, it's the knowledge and confidence in a particular car or combo. Also some can be very good to do a certain amount of fast laps if you hit the magic every turns, but are harder to keep at a consistent pace in the long run. I tried quickly the 3 DTM, i would likely had picked the BMW too, it felt better.

I ve even seen a SGC making top 5 in split 1 once, which is the joke car on public servers nobody wants, so really anything is possible  Big Grin

For me Helicorsa is essential app, and will be great if servers can recognize if someone have it and even better to be forced on, maybe then will be less excuse for high incident drivers to not see others Smile
